smart is back on the local market, though it’s no longer the quirky two-seater city car first seen in the 1990s. The bigger, four-door all-electric models (known as #1 and #3) have just been launched with the thing every proper car brand needs: merch. The smart #3 skateboard ($239) is described as the ideal urban cruiser, with a broad deck, wide track and smooth-riding wheels. The smart outdoor cart ($146), a sort of modern, fold- flat take on the Radio Flyer, “fits easily into your smart EV, providing wheel ed support for your extended perambulations”. And that, I guess, is a sentence that fits in with the name smart.
